Welcome
My name is Kael and I would like to welcome you to my first triathlon website. I first became intersted in triathlon in 2010 when I competed in my first ever school triathlon at the age of 15. Despite inadequate preparation and novice experience I placed second from my school which motivated me for next years triathlon. During the interveaning year I started training for the run which saw me win school and zone crosscountry and qualify for CIS state crosscountry with a 6km time of 21:38. Allowing natural ability and basic fitness to get me through the swim and bike I placed 1st from my school and 8th overall in my next triathlon. The following year showed improvement with 4th place overall finish. Following this result I signed up with Central Coast Triathlon Club and competed in several sprint distance events resulting in a PB of 1:07.33.
2013 saw me blow the competition out of the water at the CSSA triathlon and come within striking distance of the course record. This was my first ever victory in a triathlon and it came from a dominating bike split and then a easy run home more than 4min in front of second place.
My first long course triathlon saw me complete the Challenge Forster race in a disapointing time of 6:29.30. This poor performance resulted from a distinctive lack of training for the 6 weeks leading up to the event due to the HSC and still having several stiches in my foot from an accident a few weeks earlier.
